Collins, Danielle K., age 22, of Quincy, unexpectedly, November 8, 2009. Danielle returned to the loving arms and care of Jesus Christ our Savior. Beloved daughter of Daniel F. Collins and Linda J. (Campbell) Collins of Quincy. Loving mother of Jacob Donald Nichols and her best friend and Jacob’s father, Daniel E. Nichols of Quincy. Sister of Amanda M. Collins of Quincy, Karen J. Sims of Whitman, Kim M. Connolly of Weymouth and Gina A. Patete of E. Bridgewater. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Danielle’s 20 month old son, Jacob, was the love of her life. Her infectious laughter and huge smile lit up a room. She was the “Bright Spot” of her families and friends lives. Danielle was a spitfire, so beautiful, exuberant and full of life. She enjoyed the sun, beach, gymnastics, travel and cruising. She loved being the big sister of Mindi. Danielle graduated from Quincy High School in 2005 and was a cheerleader for three years. She had a special place in her heart for children and completed three semesters at Quincy College in their early childhood program. She also worked for three years at the Djerf Christian Pre-School. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Danielle may be made to the Jacob Donald Nichols Education Fund, c/o Bank of Canton, 275 Quincy Ave., Quincy, MA 02169.
