Daniel W. Hardy

Daniel W. Hardy, of Weymouth and Brewster, died May 6, 2022 at the age of 74.

Dan grew up in South Boston and proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic and was a 50+ year member of Union 17. After retiring, Dan taught CPR for the union for many years. When his sons were young, Dan volunteered as a Weymouth Youth Hockey and Little League coach. He was also the director of the Yankee Hockey Conference at the Pilgrim Arena in Hingham. When not busy fixing or building something, Dan enjoyed fishing and painting.

He was the devoted husband of 49 years to Diane M. (Jesonis) Hardy of Weymouth. Loving father of Brian Hardy of Boxboro and Jason Hardy of South Easton. Proud “Grampa” of Rowan Hardy. Brother of Donna Sullivan of Roslindale, Stephen Hardy of Plymouth, and David Hardy of Roslindale. Brother in law of Frank Jesonis of Weymouth, Lorna Hardy of Plymouth, and Tom Sullivan of Roslindale.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 5/11 from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday 5/12 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM.
