Daniel Murphy

Murphy, Daniel of Maine, formerly Quincy, died October 22, 2021.

Dan adored his family, friends, and especially animals. He was a nature lover, an eclectic collector, and moved to the beat of his own drum. Dan enjoyed spending the summers back in Mass with old friends and his Peddocks Island family. He was proud, full of life, and lived every day with a special exuberance, he was a carefree and outgoing man who cared deeply about all those he crossed paths with. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To know him was to love him.

Cherished son of Dennis Murphy of Cambridge, Maine and Susan Murphy of Quincy. Loving younger brother of Michael Murphy and his wife Alaina of South Weymouth. Survived by his beloved cats Squashbuckle, Poo Cat, and Maine-G. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 10 AM – 2 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral home service at 2 PM. Cremation will follow.
