Daniel M. Yotts

Daniel M. “Dan” Yotts  of Hingham, formally of South Boston, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022 with his family by his side. Dan and his wife Nancy were the parents of Thomas and his wife Maureen of Quincy, Diane (Perella) and her husband Mario of Delray Beach, FL, Joseph and his wife Claire of Marshfield and the late Daniel M Yotts, Jr. of Sanford, ME. Cherished Papa to Michael, Samantha, Nora, Christopher, Nicholas, Abigael, Grace, Claire, and Ava. Great grandfather of Harrison, Cameron and Reid. Brother of the late Veronica Silverman and Eddie Yotts.

Dan was a graduate of South Boston High School Class of  1953, US Army Veteran & former Boston Police Department officer. He was a proud South Bostonian who loved his hometown and worked for the betterment of his “Southie” community. Former coach of the Boston Park League O’Brien’s Club, contributor to South Boston Tribune newspaper and Executive Director of the South Boston Community Development Center. His greatest joy came from time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, Dec. 19, from 10:30 am-12 in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 12 Noon in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
