Daniel L. Grosso, Md

Grosso, Daniel L., MD of Harwich, formerly a 32 year resident of Hingham, passed away August 7, 2015 at the age of 68.

Dr. Grosso was born in Queens, NY and raised in Pelham, NY. Driven at an early age, he excelled in school and fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor. He graduated from Universita di Bologna School of Medicine and Surgery in Italy. After graduation he worked as a resident in New Rochelle, NY and later completed his residency in radiology at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. He then completed fellowships at Boston Medical Center and Hershey Medical Center in PA. Before retiring in 2014, he worked as a radiologist for 32 years at Brockton Hospital. He was well liked and had great respect for both his patients and the people he worked with. In his free time he enjoyed home improvement projects with his sons, woodworking including building furniture for his grandchildren, gardening, and traveling with his family. In his early 50’s, he achieved his dream of becoming a licensed pilot. He will be remembered as a committed and compassionate physician and a dedicated family man.

Beloved husband of Mary E. (Mackin) Grosso. Loving father of Andrew D. Grosso and wife Tara Ann of Hingham and Daniel J. Grosso and wife Carrie of Knoxville, TN. Brother of Concetta Tyska and husband Henry of FL. Devoted “Papa” of Grace, Sophia, Will and Daniel. Good friend and fishing buddy of Russ Tomasetti. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.
