Daniel K. Silva

Silva, Daniel K. of Quincy, died March 16, 2014.

The beloved husband of 56 years to Dolores M. (Tabak) Silva of Quincy. Devoted father of Carolyn S. Devine and her husband James of Hanover and Stephen Silva and his wife Linda of Pembroke. Brother of Roberta Silva and Jim Silva both of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Kerin and Gregory Devine and Katelyn, Daniel and Michael Silva.

Daniel was a lifelong Quincy resident. He was a proud United States Army Korean War Veteran. Following his military service, Daniel worked as an electrician for The Gillette Company for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and the serenity of the ocean but, the foundation of his life was truly his family, he was devoted to them all. They were the cornerstone of all that was important to him. His family remembers him as a passionate, kind hearted, loving and caring gentleman who they adored. Although they are broken hearted, they feel blessed to have had such an amazing man. His family will treasure all the wonderful memories they created through the years. He will be sadly missed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
