Daniel J. Moran

Moran, Daniel “John-Joseph” passed way on Saturday, June 10, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born in Everett, MA in 1956; Dan was a North Quincy resident for 48 years.

Son of the late Daniel P. and Imelda C. Moran. Beloved husband for 21 years of Kathleen (Nardelli) Moran, Dan is also survived by his loving brothers Richard (wife Ann) Moran of Braintree and Stephen (Kathleen) Moran of Pembroke. Also survived by his adoring nephews and nieces Matthew, Richard and Annmarie Moran of Braintree and Christopher, Jaqueline, and Patrick Moran of Pembroke. Brother-in-law to Marianne DeCelles of Tewksbury, Michael Nardelli, Jr of Woburn, Susan Nardelli of Hudson, NH, Stephen Nardelli (Cathy) of Hudson, NH, and Judi Scalley (David) of Twin Mountain, NH.

Dan was blessed to have many life-long loyal and loving friends. A graduate of Franklin Institute on Boston, Dan was employed as a Diesel Mechanic at Eversource (N. Star) Corporation for 33 years. Proud union member of Local 369. Dan enjoyed vintage General Motors cars from 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. Dan especially enjoy his August vacations in Prince Edward Island, Canada where he visited with his large extended family of cousins and told a story or two on more than one occasion. He was also a member of North Quincy Knights of Columbus #2259.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daniel may be made to Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3604.
