Mahoney, Daniel J. of Braintree, formerly of West Roxbury & Roslindale, July 28, 2004. The beloved husband of 56 years to Charlotte ( Luippold) Mahoney. Father of Sheila Cloutier and her husband Robert of Foxboro, Maureen Staib and her husband Louis of Corona, CA, Kathleen Ross and her husband Robert of Derry, NH, Daniel J. Mahoney and his wife Sheila of So. Hampton, NH, William Mahoney and his wife Eileen of Quincy, Michael Mahoney and his wife Catherine of Groton, John Mahoney and his wife Aleta of Carver and Eileen Mahoney of Dorchester. Brother of the late Ann McGrath. Daniel is also survived by his 20 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Mahoney enjoyed bowling and golfing. He loved to do crossword puzzles and his family remembers how well he would know the answers – ” He excelled in crossword puzzles.” Daniel served in the United States Marine Corp. during WWII and Korean Wars. He was born in Natick and grew up in Dorchester. He was educated at English High School. He married Charlotte Luippold and started a family. They moved to West Roxbury and raised their large family. Daniel worked for Raytheon for 33 years retiring back in 1989. He moved to Braintree in 1996. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Monday at 9:45 am. Funeral Mass in St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St. Braintree , Monday at 11am . Visiting hours Sunday 2-7 PM Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Mr. Mahoney may be made to New England Sinai Foundation, 150 York Street, Stoughton, MA
