Daniel J. Hajjar

Hajjar, Daniel J., 67, a longtime resident of Weymouth, died February 12, 2014 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

He was known as “Uncle Dan” to all of his family and friends. Danny was raised in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High in 1964. Danny owned Hajjar’s Restaurant in Weymouth with his brothers for the last 15 years. In his early years he owned Hajjar’s Trucking and ran the Ice House, Bowling Alley, Weymouth Roller Skating Rink and New England Fitness Center in Weymouth. He was a skilled craftsman, welder, and mechanic. Danny will be remembered as a kind and dedicated family man and local business owner. 

Beloved son of the late Antoon Hajjar and survived by his loving mother Tillie Hajjar. Loving brother of Philip Hajjar and his wife Zako, David Hajjar and his wife Carolyn, Frederick Hajjar and the late Louie and Tommy Hajjar. Brother-in-law of Diane Sullivan. Cherished uncle of Michael Sullivan, Juliette Amendolare, Lorraine Conant, Tony Hajjar and David Hajjar. Great-uncle of Kelly and Daniel Sullivan and Samantha and Juliana Amendolare. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
