Conway, Daniel J. of Quincy, originally from Dorchester, October 17, 2002. Husband of the late Bertha A. “Bobbie” (Blaisdell) Conway. Loving father of James D. Conway of Boston, John J. Conway of Dorchester, Dennis M. Conway of N. Quincy and Maureen E. Conway-Damery of Weymouth. Brother of Evelyn Morong of Maynard and the late Katherine Conway, Florence Conway, Dorothy MacLeod, Mary Conway & John Conway. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Monday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Agatha’s Church, Milton at 11 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Mr. Conway was former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 28 of Dorchester earning the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. He was a former member of Union Steward of Teamsters Local 25. He was formerly employed for over 40 years at Jordan Marsh/Delivery Corp. as a truck driver, retiring in 1982. He served as Past Commander of the James J. Rice Amvets Post. An original organizer of the Dorchester Day Celebrations, Mr. Conway also was a founding member of the steering committee for the creation of the Little House Health Center in Dorchester.Donations in memory of Mr. Conway may be made to the Alzheimers Support Group of So.
