Daniel F. “Dan-O” Shaughnessy

Shaughnessy, Daniel F. “Dan-o” of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, died at home, May 2, 2008. Beloved husband of Patricia M. (McCarthy) Shaughnessy of Quincy. Loving son of the late Patrick Shaughnessy and Ellen (Burke). Brother of Mary Casey of FL & Hummarock, Nora Loftus of Quincy, Thomas Shaughnessy of CA, Fr. Martin Shaughnessy, S.J. of Fairfield, CT, and the late John, William, Patrick, Joseph, Michael and Robert Shaughnessy. Also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Daniel was an avid Patriot’s and Red Sox fan. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force, two of which were in the mountains of Japan. He is a former employee of the MBTA and a member of the Boston Carmen Union Local #589. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. QUINCY, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daniel may be made to St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock St., Quincy, MA 02170.
