Dana L. Destefano

Dana L. DeStefano, age 51, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 8, 2022.  

Dana graduated from Weymouth South High School.  He also attended, and graduated, from Massasoit Community College for graphics art design. Dana was a great person; he was sensitive, loving, compassionate and kind to all who knew him.  Whenever you mention his name or think of Dana, a smile will always come across your face.   Some of Dana’s hobbies included fishing, collecting rare coins, and his special and gifted ability for graphic arts design.  He also had an affection for music and often loved playing his guitar.  His favorite band ever was Thirty Seconds to Mars!

Dana is the beloved son of Marilyn J. Flynn and her husband, Charles Flynn, and Leo P. DeStefano and his partner, Linda Stanton, all of Weymouth.  Dana is the cherished Brother of Jill M. Bjorkman of South Weymouth. Dana leaves behind many precious cousins and unforgettable friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, October 16^th, 2022, from 3-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital).   Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Monday, October 17^th, 2022, at 9 AM prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Pleasant Street, Weymouth, at 10 AM.   Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charlestown House, 15 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, MA  02129, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105. A Celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
