Ishwar, Damodhar or better known to close friends and relatives as “Dad” or “Dado”, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2024.
He was born on December 29, 1954 in No. 58 Village East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana where he grew up with his mother, father, and four brothers on a cattle ranch and rice farming field.
Later he immigrated to North America as a young man and finally settled in Quincy, MA where he built an amazing life that he was proud of and became a valuable member of society, winning the hearts of everyone around him for his generosity, sense of humor, and selflessness.
He enjoyed spending time with family, exercising, gardening, DIY projects, helping people, and going on cruises with his loving family. He also enjoyed watching the game of Cricket, where he mostly was a fan of the “West Indies” team.
He worked as a Building Engineer for a commercial high-rise building in Boston and loved what he did. He was well respected by his coworkers and many contractors and business associates in Boston. He was the go-to person when it came to advice on engineering, construction, budgeting, and property management.
Loved by many, but especially by his wife Diane, sons Sase and Kevin, and grandchildren Logan and Landon.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 from 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, MA. A Funeral home service will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
