Dale Marshall Hayes, 48, of North Weymouth, died June 25, 2021.
Dale was a proud and respected veteran with a military career serving the United States for over 25 years combined in the Marine Corps as a Sergeant, the Army, the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and the Air National Guard, with numerous awards and promotions in each branch.
In the Air Force, Dale found his passion for air craftsmanship and became a skilled mechanic mastering the ins and outs of every aircraft he worked on while at the Otis Air National Guard Base.
Dale was adventurous and enjoyed camping, fishing and nature. He helped build his family camp in Maine where he and his family and friends made endless memories. Dale also loved learning and reading about history. He was a great cook and loved music and playing his guitar. Undoubtedly, Dale’s main appreciation in life was his family. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor and his handsome looks. Dale will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved father of Amanda Russell and her husband John of Danvers, Patricia Hayes of Abington and Aidan Hayes of Abington. Cherished son of the late Charles “Forry” Hayes and Doris (Mulligan) Hayes. Caring brother of Heather Hayes of N. Weymouth, Glenn Hayes and his wife Paula of Easton and the late Forrest “Forry” Hayes. Devoted uncle of Charlie Hayes and Sandra Hayes. Best friend to Dickie Donovan. Also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home North Weymouth at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
