Cynthia Morgan Laliberte, 79, died on Friday November 3d after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Cynthia Marjorie Thomson in Milton on February 18th 1938, to Margaret (Eager) and James Thomson. Cynthia was a graduate of Milton High School and the University of Vermont, and worked for many years as a microbiologist and phlebotomist for Jordan Hospital in Plymouth and South Shore Medical Center.

Cynthia enjoyed being active and was an avid golfer, organizing many golf outings with friends to Myrtle Beach & other destinations.She got her first hole in one at age 16 while golfing with her mother and a second ace at Widows Walk in Scituate. Cynthia was a long-time member of South Shore Country Club,and the Hingham Ladies club, where she served as president from 2012 – 2013. She loved gardening, traveling, the Red Sox, and spending time with her friends, children & grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by her brother Alan Thomson of Norwell; her children Jeff Stockwell of Hamden CT, Whit Stockwell of Newburyport, and Karen Stockwell of Cohasset; and her grandchildren Evan Stockwell of Newburyport, Lyndsay Stockwell, Alex Stockwell and Brendon Stockwell of Hamden CT, Sarah Stockwell of Falls Church, VA, and Manny Brown of Cohasset.

A private celebration of Cynthia’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia’s name to the Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Road, Hingham MA 02043.
