Danehy, Cornelius P. of Quincy February 7, 2006. Beloved husband of Louise M. (Allen) Danehy. Loving father of John C. Danehy of Marshfield and the late Elaine M. Danehy. Loving “Papa” of Erin Spencer, Lauren Kuhn and Elizabeth Danehy. Brother of Cecelia Galvin of Boston and the late Rev. Paul Danehy, Margaret Devonshire, Florence O’Brien, Walter D. Danehy and Dorothy Kilroy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Mr. Danehy worked as a manager for New England Telephone for 43 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and an avid golfer. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines. He was a recipient of both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service. For the last 30 years, Cornelius and his wife have spent winters in Vero Beach, Florida. Donations in memory of Mr. Danehy may be made to My Brother’s Keeper, PO Box 338, Easton, MA 02356.
