Stagliola, Corinne E. “Betty” (Schuler) of Abington and Carver, passed away October 25, 2013.
Betty proudly owned and operated Abington Travel Bureau for almost 10 years. She was a skilled golfer and served as the president of the Strawberry Valley Women’s Golf Association. She was honored to be a member of the Child’s Study Group in Abington. Betty lived in the South Meadow Village community in Carver for many years where she was blessed with great friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, bowling and playing bingo, yahtzee and cards with friends. She will be remembered for her sparkling smile, infectious laugh and outgoing nature.
Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Vincenzo Stagliola. Devoted mother of Karen E. Stagliola of Brockton, Michael V. Stagliola and his wife Pattie of Middleborough and Sharon Stagliola and her wife Gretchen of Jamaica Plain. Cherished “Nana” of Steven, Alex and the late Vincent Workman, Laura and Matthew Stagliola and great-grandchildren Julia, Genevieve and Gavin Workman. Loving sister of the late Carl and Robert Schuler. Sister-in-law of Christina Travi and her husband Peter of Cohasset and the late Lucia DiGravio and her husband Vincent. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Gina and Pat Gillis of Hull, Karen and Joe Tracy of Abington.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of Holy Nativity at 10 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. The family of Betty Stagliola thanks the staff of Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the kind and compassionate care shown to Betty over the last few years.
