Corinne Ann Campobasso, age 81, (although she’d be very upset we told you that) of Weymouth, passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2022.
She was born in Boston on October 19, 1940, daughter of the late Tom Eaton and Sally Smith. She was raised in Dorchester and began raising her own family there before moving to Hyde Park in 1970. Corinne was an avid landscape and still life artist. She taught several adult art classes throughout the South Shore. Her love for painting found her converting her basement living room into an art studio where she offered private painting lessons. Her paintings were displayed and sold in countless art shows including her very own one woman show at Boston City Hall. Corinne was a member of the Braintree, Weymouth, Quincy, Hyde Park, West Roxbury and Milton art associations. As many people know, Corinne loved the casino. She enjoyed the slots and was invited to play in several tournaments over the years. She loved to treat friends and family to complimentary hotel rooms and lavish dinners and shows when they joined her for a night or two at Foxwoods, her home away from home.
Survivors include loving husband of 54 years, Frank, daughter Cheryl Campobasso of Florida, son Larry Campobasso and his wife Christine of Walpole and two grandchildren Nicholas and Bella Campobasso.
There will be a small service for immediate family members only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 304 Waverley Oak Road, Waltham, MA 02452
