Desmond, Corey J. of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Hull and South Boston, November 11, 2007. Beloved husband of Stephanie (Davidson) Desmond. Loving son of Lois H. (Wigman) Desmond of Hull, and Daniel J. Desmond and his wife Denise of Chatham. Grandson of the late Joseph and Eleanor Desmond and the late Joseph and Doris Wigman. Brother of Scott M. Desmond of Scituate. Uncle of Scott Jr., and Joey Desmond of Scituate. Nephew of Kathleen Halpin of Wollaston, Richard Desmond of Randolph, John Desmond of Quincy, Maureen Cronin of Manchester, N.H., Nancy Eastman of Marshfield, Paul Desmond of Quincy and the late Patricia Hennessey. Son in law of Stephen and Linda Davidson of Wilbraham. Brother in law of Lindsay Davidson, Amy Wilson and JoAnn Desmond. Corey is also survived by many cousins and close friends. Corey grew up in Hull and lived in Quincy and South Boston before moving to Pittsburgh, PA a year and a half ago. As a youth, he played basketball, baseball and football in the Hull programs. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth and Massachusetts Bay College in Wellesley and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Corey worked at several Boston establishments including Charley’s on Newbury St., Joe’s on the Waterfront, The Beer Garden in South Boston, Sanctuary at Fanuel Hall and SoHo Boston in Brighton. He moved to Pittsburgh to open SoHo Pittsburgh in 2006, as general manager. His cousins describe him as a big huggable teddy bear that always had a smile and a joke. He had a radiant, loving, passionate, energetic and charismatic personality. Last year Corey married Stephanie Davidson on Captiva Island, Florida. This was one of the two proudest moments in his life, the other being their expectation of a child next spring. He was so looking forward to this event. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Wollaston, Saturday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 a.m. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
