Constance M. Stokinger

Stokinger, Constance M. (LaChance) of Quincy, died January 27, 2014.

Constance’s life revolved around her immediate and extended loving family.  She instilled the value of education in her children, was an avid reader, and served the City of Quincy during the elections as a Precinct Warden.  Constance was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and continued to volunteer her time long after her children grew up.  She was a graduate of Durfee High School in Fall River and Massachusetts State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1946.  Beloved wife of the late George A. Stokinger.  Loving mother of Carol Stokinger and her husband Brian Maas of NY, Jeanne Stokinger Buck and her husband Richard of Wilmington, and Mary Stokinger and her husband George Sheldon of NY.  Sister of Joan LaChance and her husband James Harris of NY.  Sister-in-law of Gertrude Keefe.  Cherished grandmother of Sarah Maas Wasserman and her husband Joshua of CA, Aaron Maas and Michael and James Sheldon, all of NY.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
