Mele, Constance M. “Connie” (Clemens) of Quincy, passed away March 29, 2011. Beloved wife of Sam Mele of Quincy. Loving mother of Sherry Ann Mele and her fiance Roland of Quincy, Marilyn McCabe and her husband Kevin of Norwood, Steven Mele and his wife Kathy of Centerville, Marsha Mele of Centerville and Scott & Debbie Mele of Quincy. Cherished Nonni to Kyle, Kelly, Anthony, Shauna, Scott Jr. and Ryan. Daughter of the late Arthur D. Clemens and Kathryn (Riordan). Sister of the late Arthur R. Clemens. Dear cousin of Claire Bianchi and Carol Whalen. Connie’s entire life evolved around her loving family. Married for 62 years and raising five children, she was the wife and mother who could do it all with love and compassion. An elegant lady, she enjoyed and was known for her impeccably coordinated outfits right down to the perfect hat with matching shoes. Her home was also tastefully designed and decorated with the utmost attention to detail. She was a longtime member of the Neighborhood Club of Quincy, avid bowler, BINGO player, a former “Miss Merrymount” and also enjoyed traveling. She graduated from Quincy High School and the Chandler Secretarial School of Boston. Connie will be remembered for her generous spirit, caring ways and wonderful sense of humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Connie may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
