Coleman J. Lydon

Lydon, Coleman John, 72, of Hingham. Devoted husband of Kathleen M. (Gorman) Lydon for 44 years, died Thursday at his home in Hingham. Loving father of Ann Marie and her husband Kevin Costello, Karen and her husband Scott Peckham, and Michael and his wife Karen Lydon. Also the loving “Papa” of Jack Coleman and Katie Elizabeth Peckham, and Brendan Michael, Mark Patrick, and Stephen Joseph Lydon. He is also survived by Sister Mary Lydon, C.S.J., Helen Munstis of Derry, N.H., and Bartley, Stephen and Joseph Lydon of Carraroe, Galway, Ireland. In addition, he is survived by Mark and Michael Lydon of London, England and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Patrick and Bridget Lydon of Carraroe, Galway, Ireland, the brother of the late Barbara Curran of Co. Meath, Ireland, and the brother of the late Patrick and Sean Lydon of Carraroe, Galway, Ireland. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church in Weymouth at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. Mr. Lydon was a retired electrician and a member of I.B.E.W. Local #103, Boston, MA. He served two years in the U.S. Army. After retiring in 1996, his hobbies included spending time with his grandchildren and renovating his children’s homes.
