Flaherty, Coleman of North Quincy, formerly of Dorchester died February 7, 2013 at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of 60 years of Margaret “Peggy” (Feeney) Flaherty of Quincy. Loving father of Mary Flaherty of Quincy, Thomas Flaherty and his wife Violet of Norwood, Ann Flaherty of Greensboro, NC, Frank Flaherty and Kevin Flaherty both of Lebanon, ME, Christopher Flaherty and his wife Linda Thomas of Tewksbury. Brother of Ellen Connolly of Ireland, Joseph and Marcus Flaherty both of England and the late Patrick, Michael, Sheila, and Catherine Flaherty. He was the proud GrandDad of Helen Sofia and Margaret Priscilla Flaherty both of Tewksbury.

Coleman was born in Carraroe, County Galway, Ireland, he came to Massachusetts in 1948 and worked for Simplex Wire & Cable, General Dynamics at the Fore River Shipyard and Simmons Industries before retiring in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening and carpentry which was his trade. Coleman was a former member of the Legion of Mary at Sacred Heart Church and was a devoted Catholic. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Coleman was a United States Army Veteran.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Coleman may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02171 or Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St. Quincy, MA 02169.
