Clifford E. Sullivan, Jr.

Sullivan, Clifford E., Jr. of Weymouth, died August 3, 2016 at the age of 93.

Mr. Sullivan was born, raised and educated in Boston before moving to Weymouth in 1958. He was a WWII Army veteran with the 100th Infantry Division in Europe, receiving the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and three Battle Stars. After the war, he graduated as a civil engineer from Northeastern University in 1948. Mr. Sullivan worked as project manager for A.A. Will Corp retiring in 1988. He also worked for A.J. Welch Corp as a vice president. He was a life member in the following: the Boston Society of Civil Engineers, the Reserve Officer Assoc., the American Legion, the VFW, and was a  Third and Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus where he was also a past Grand Knight, financial secretary and treasurer of the building committee. He was also a member of the Weymouth Elks and a volunteer at the Weymouth Medical Group for many years.

Husband of the late Margaret (Mulvey) Sullivan. Loving father of Gail Ingraham of Charlotte, NC, Barbara Moodie of Hampton, NH, Paul Sullivan of Plymouth, Robert Sullivan of Charlotte, NC and the late Clifford E. Sullivan, III. Brother of the late Gertrude Brady and Eileen Horgan. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Family will gather at MA National Cemetery in Bourne for a graveside service at a later date. Donations in memory of Mr. Sullivan may be made to the Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St., Quincy, MA 02169.
