Claudette M. Fitzsimmons

Fitzsimmons, Claudette M. (Marshall) of Pembroke, died June 5, 2014.

Claudette was born, raised, and educated in Cambridge. She and Ed, her husband of 45 years, raised a family in Hull. Claudette always believed in giving back to the community and supporting various charities and causes. She served on the Hull board of selectman for 17 years and then shared her passion for art when she opened Quilter’s Delight in South Weymouth. Claudette also loved baking, gardening, and animals but most of all enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of whom she was most proud. 

Claudette is survived by her loving husband Edward of Pembroke, her devoted children Dian Elkins of Hingham, Jim Godinho and his wife Suzanne of Middleboro, David Godinho and his husband Ken Heckman of Weymouth, Glenn Fitzsimmons and his companion Lauren Carberry of Weymouth, and Scott Fitzsimmons and his wife Karen of Scituate. Cousin to Patricia Beccia of PA. Beloved grandmother to Sean Daley and his wife Kyla, Scott and Christopher Burns, Amanda and Sarah Godinho, and Ella and Violet Fitzsimmons. Claudette is also survived by her great-grandchildren Sabrina, Ayvah, Elena and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Thecla Church, Pembroke. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
