Clare M. Martin

Martin, Clare M. (Moynihan) of Hingham, formerly of South Boston, died May 29, 2023. She was 98.

Born in Boston in 1925, she was the daughter to the late James and Mary Elizabeth (Hynes) Moynihan.

Clare was an active member of the Castle Island Association. She loved to read and spend time with her three children, Dennis, Paul, and Mary Beth. Clare adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She will be surely missed by all who knew her. 

Cherished wife to the late Thomas Martin. Loving mother to Dennis Martin and his wife Mary of Norwood, Mary Elizabeth Donald of Weymouth, and Paul Martin and his wife Debbie of Weymouth. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 12:00 -2:00 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday at 2:00 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clare’s name may be made to the Castle Island Association, 170 Evergreen Ave, Braintree, MA 02184.
