Claire Heaver Cote

COTE, Claire Heaver of Marshfield passed away May 3, 2018.

Born in Quincy, Claire was the daughter of the late Margaret Butler Heaver. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Cote.  Devoted mother of Carol Cote Schneider and her husband Robert of Selah, WA, Adrienne Cote of Paris, ME, Barbara Cote Cellucci and her husband Charles of Weymouth, Elizabeth Cote of Stoughton and Margaret Cote Brennan of Marshfield. Loving sister to Irene Sullivan of Hingham, Margaret Leone of Weymouth, Robert Callaway, her brother-in-law and Marylou Cote, her sister -in-law. Cherished grandmother to Cate, Emily, Monica, David, Daniel, Cody, Claudia, Adrienne and great-grandmother to Caroline and Bernadette. Claire was predeceased by her sister Janet Callaway.

Claire graduated from Weymouth High School and attended Boston University.  She retired from Notre Dame Academy as the Principal’s secretary in 1998.  Claire raised her family in Hingham before moving to Marshfield on the death of her husband.  She was a lifetime member of the Weymouth Catholic Club and often enjoyed time at the Marshfield Senior Center.  Claire love to read and was happiest surrounded by her many friends and family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday 4 – 8 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Streets).  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection, Main Street, Hingham, MA.  Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
