Christine White

Christine Marie White, known affectionately to friends and family as Christine, graced this world with her presence on October 1, 1966, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. A beacon of compassion and strength, she dedicated her life to the service of others. Christine's remarkable journey through life came to a close on January 18, 2025. A valiant warrior, Christine's life was sadly claimed by lymphoma, yet her spirit remains undimmed.

Christine's formative years were spent in Weymouth, a graduate of Weymouth High School and amidst the community she would later serve with unwavering commitment. In 1988, she graduated magna cum laude from Daemen College in Amherst, NY, with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. It was there that Christine's passion for helping those in need was professionally nurtured, setting the foundation for her lifelong dedication to social service.

Following her graduation, Christine quickly began making her mark on the world. She embarked on her professional journey as a Social Worker at Neponsit Circle Nursing Home, from 1988 to 1996, before taking on the role of Director of Social Services at Logan Healthcare in Braintree, MA, from 1996 to 2001. Christine's leadership and expertise also shone brightly during her tenure as the Director of Social Services at Wingate at Silver Lake from 2001 to 2007. Subsequently, she continued to touch lives as a Social Worker at Care One of Weymouth formally known as Weymouth Health Care from 2007 until her passing. In addition, Christine served as a Weekend/Relief Scheduler for Visiting Angels from 2005 to 2025, further exemplifying her commitment to compassionate care.

Beyond her professional contributions, Christine was an active and beloved member of various service organizations. As a Past Worthy Advisor and Majority Member of Wassagusett Assembly #82, a holder of the Grand Cross of Color, and a current Advisory Board Member of Middleboro Assembly #58, all within the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Christine inspired young women to lead lives of integrity and purpose. Moreover, her guiding hand was felt as an Advisory Council Member of South Shore Chapter, Order of DeMolay. Because of her dedication to DeMolay, she was a recipient of the Cross of Honor, the highest honor that DeMolay International can bestow on a member of an Advisory Counsel. Her involvement in these groups cemented her legacy as a mentor who nurtured and guided youth towards charitable service and leadership. Christine was also an active Member of Brockton Chapter #87, Order of Eastern Star. Because of her dedication to these organizations, The Worshipful Master of Weymouth United Masonic Lodge awarded her The Grand Lady Service Award.

At the heart of Christine's life was her family, who were the recipients of her limitless love and selflessness. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth as the beloved mother of Ashlei R. White and Patrick E. White, JR., who were her world. She was the cherished big sister to Robin A. Scott and her husband, Ethan A. Scott, and George W. Walsh, Jr., and his wife, Laura Walsh. A dedicated Auntie to three Nieces and one Nephew, several great nieces, and great nephews. An adored niece to several aunts and uncles. A pillar in the community of her beloved friends. Christine's irreplaceable presence and the joy she brought to their lives will be profoundly missed.

Those fortunate enough to have known Christine will remember her as the epitome of loving kindness. Her selfless nature and thoughtful gestures not only improved the lives of her family and friends but also of countless individuals she served through her professional and volunteer endeavors. Christine carved out a legacy that is etched deeply in the hearts and memories of all she touched.

With her departure, Christine leaves behind a void that cannot be filled. However, her enduring impact on her community and the indelible mark she made through her life's work will continue to resonate and inspire for generations to come. As we bid farewell to Christine, it is with gratitude for her luminous spirit, which shall forever guide us to live with the same compassion and generosity she so effortlessly embodied.
