Christine M. Runkal

Runkal, Christine M. (Curtin) of Abington, passed away July 16, 2017.

Christine grew up in South Boston, later moving to Abington in 1973. She worked for many years as a Payroll Coordinator for the MBTA. Christine loved to travel, stay active and spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Beloved wife of 47 years to Leo F. Runkal. Cherished mother of Leanne Bugbee and her husband Donald of Medway, Stephen Runkal of Abington, Jennifer Runkal of Abington and David Runkal of Quincy. Treasured grandmother of Tommy, Julia, Andrew, Ashley, Allison and Jackson. Dear sister of Louise Curtin of Rye, NH and Joan Shea of  Weymouth. Predeceased by her siblings John Curtin and Mary Ann Girard. Also the daughter of the late John and Mary Curtin.  Great friend to Paula Coveney, Betty Powers, Marie Lenane and the gang at Webbs Gym.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 7:45 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington at 9AM.
