Christine H. O’Connor

O’Connor, Christine H. (Majchrzak) of Weymouth and Tuftonboro NH, died March 11, 2019.

Christine was a woman of great faith and vast artistic ability. She raised 11 children and still worked various jobs throughout her life. She was a skilled seamstress with the ability to make anything from curtains to wedding dresses, doing so professionally for many years. She enjoyed her job as a photographer that gave her the opportunity to travel. She enjoyed reading, gardening, painting, drawing and was a great cake decorator. She was musically inclined and could often be found playing the piano or singing in the church choir. Christine also loved to swim and volunteered at the Mass Hospital School assisting children with disabilities in the pool. Christine’s strong faith led her to create and run a gift shop at St. Katharine Drexel church in Alton, NH. She was blessed with many friends. She will be sadly missed.

Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Walter J. O’Connor, Jr. Devoted mother of Gail Provencher and her husband Gary of NC, Robert O’Connor of RI, Adele O’Connor-Vernier and her husband Joe of AZ, Michael O’Connor of Braintree, Paul O’Connor and his wife Caroline of ME, Susan Kreitman and her husband Michael of SC, James O’Connor and his wife Vikki of ME, Matthew O’Connor and his wife Alicia of MI, Janet O’Connor and her husband David Farrell of Abington, Valerie Desmond and her husband Patrick of Braintree and the late John O’Connor. Loving sister of Barbara Signor of South Boston, Irene Majchrzak of FL and Peter Majchrzak of CO. Cherished Grama of 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Christine may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 10 Guest Street, Boston MA 02135.
