Christine A. Quinlan

Christine A. “Tina” (Martin) Quinlan, 47, of Abington, died suddenly at the home of her sister, Tara (Martin) Coulson in Weymouth on September 20,  2013.

Tina was born and educated in Weymouth, the daughter of the late Donna (Bierman) Martin and John A. Martin, and had graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth and also attended Northeastern University. Wife of Richard Quinlan, mother of Grace and Zachary Quinlan, and friends along with her long time caring friend Francis Carnevale and sister of Tara Coulson, Tina is survived by her father John A. “Jack” Martin and his wife Diane “Dee” Martin along with aunts, an uncle and many cousins and friends.

Tina had been caring for her nephews MJ and Jacob Coulson for the past several years during the day while Tara worked at State Street Bank, a task she truly enjoyed. She also was very involved in the loving care of her daughter Grace and her son Zachary. She had a passion for hairdressing, gardening and enjoying nature.  Tina often reminisced of Sunday childhood walks along Nantasket Beach with her father and young sister, looking for sea glass after services at Union Congregational Church, then enjoying breakfasts at Eddies Diner in Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A future burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tina maybe made to The Special Olympics Inc., by mail Special Olympics, Inc, 1133 19th Street NW, Washington, DC, 20036.
