Christine A. Merlino

Christine A. (Zacharias) Merlino, of Weymouth, died September 5, 2017.

Christine worked for 29 years as an administrative secretary for The City of Quincy. Christine was a phenomenal cook and could often be found cooking for the Boston Fire Department. She enjoyed gambling, traveling to Aruba and being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Beloved wife of the late John Merlino. Devoted mother of John Merlino, BFD and his wife Heather of Plymouth and Karen A. Alviarez and her husband Frank of Quincy. Sister-in-law of Joe Merlino of Weymouth. Cherished Nana of Shauna, Kasandra, Angelina, Anthony, Johnny, Adrian and great-grandchildren Savannah and Logan. Loving sister of Angela Manolakis of Braintree and Charles Zacharias of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and her favorite canines Cannoli and Roxy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree at a later date.
