Choi Wan (Yip) Lim

Choi Wan (Yip) Lim, of Quincy, formerly of Allston, died peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 89.

Born in Canton, China on October 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ma Tai Yip and Gin Shee. Choi worked as a seamstress for many years until her retirement in 1995. In her spare time, Choi enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, and cooking. She was a caring, strong, and loving person. Choi will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Choi was the beloved wife of Chang Yow Lim of Quincy. The two married on September 3, 1948. Together they shared 74 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Susan Chin and her husband Terry of Newton, Harold W. Lim and his wife Lian of Quincy, and Ken W. Lim and his wife Frances of Stoughton. Choi was the loving grandmother of six and the loving great grandmother of five. She was the dear sister of Jack Cy Yip of China, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, August 29, 2022, 9-11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. The family requests that masks be worn by all guests who enter the funeral home.

Services will conclude with interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
