Stokinger, Cheryl E. (Galvin) of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, passed away January 28, 2012. Beloved wife of 40 years of Tom Stokinger of Braintree. Daughter of the late Thomas and Margaruite Galvin. Loving sister of Thomas M. Galvin, Marcia J. Farrell of Brockton, Jack W, Galvin of Quincy, Harold A. Galvin of Vero Beach, FL and the late Kevin A. Galvin of Marstons Mills. Cheryl is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several great nieces. Cheryl was born in Boston and lived in Quincy for many years before settling in Braintree where she lived for more than 30 years. She worked for the United States Census Bureau as a Field Representative for over 30 years. Cheryl was a woman who was very dedicated to her work and was extremely devoted to her faith and the Catholic Church. Most of all Cheryl loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Braintree at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Cheryl may be made to Catholic Television, P.O. Box 9196, 34 Chestnut St. Watertown, MA 02471.
