Charlotte T. Falvey

Falvey, Charlotte T. (Alexander) of Hingham. Beloved wife of Robert M. Falvey. Daughter of the late Lucy (Kondazian) and Nishan Alexander. Loving mother of Carol Falvey & her husband Mark Van Dine, Christine Falvey & her husband Anthony Messina, Robert M. Falvey, Jr. & his wife Karen, all of Hingham and Mark Falvey & his wife Maureen of Scituate. Loving and devoted “Grandma” of Alexandra, Victoria, Jake, Jack, Olivia, Mark Jr., Kate, Charlotte, Bobby III, Elizabeth and the late Max. Sister of Victoria Karjian of Wellesley, Arthur Alexander of Revere and the late Harry Alexander, Richard Alexander & Louise Kazanjian. Mrs. Falvey was a professional ballet and tap dancer prior to getting married. She met her husband in 1953, Bob, the Master of Ceremonies at a fundraiser for the Worcester Tornado Relief Benefit. She and her husband moved to Hingham in 1965 and was the mother of 4 children. She was actively involved in the Foster School and Central Junior High PTOs, Girl and Boy Scouts and community theater. She was a hockey, baseball and soccer Mom! Charlotte worked at Hingham High and coached the Hingham High School cheerleading team. Later on she worked at her son’s business, M. A. Falvey Painting Service, Inc. Most recently, she was an active member of the community, where she was a fundraiser and booster for the Hingham Public Library and St. Paul’s Church Cemetery. Her greatest role was that of a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother of 11 grandchildren. Charlotte passed away at her home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 3-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
