Skidmore, Charlotte L. (Jason) of Weymouth, died Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was 91.
Born in Cohasset, she was the devoted daughter to the late John and Ellen (Broderick) Jason. Charlotte worked at the Weymouth Police Department as the Bail Commissioner for over 50 years, until finally retiring at the age of 85. She also worked in Boston as the Bail Commissioner as well as driving school buses for the Town of Hull for many years. Work and family were two of the biggest aspects of her life. When Charlotte wasn’t working hard at the police station, she was spending time with family having a big laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Charlotte was the caring mother to Robert Skidmore and his wife Catherine of Weymouth, Ruth Curtin and her late husband David of Rockland, Elizabeth Skidmore of Pembroke, William Skidmore of Maine, the late Lily Rose, and the late Ellen Faria. She was the eldest sister to Virginia Clay of Hull, the late Lorraine Lesher, the late Ruth Graves, and the late John L. Jason Jr. Charlotte was the “Nan” to 12 grandchildren, “Big Nana” to 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Cremation to follow. Donations in Charlotte’s name can be made to Cranberry Hospice.
