Charlotte (Krebs) Kirshnit, a longtime resident of Quincy, died peacefully on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Brookdale Assisted Living in Quincy. She was 91.
Born in Boston on March 8, 1930, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and was the daughter of the late Carlos O. and Hazel Iva (Sandsbury) Krebs. Charlotte attended local schools and graduated from the Girls Latin High School. She later continued her education and completed her degree at Harvard University in 1975. Charlotte worked as an administrative assistant in the healthcare industry. She enjoyed her work and the relationships she built throughout the years.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. She was devoted to her husband and family and there was not anything she wouldn’t do for the people she loved. Charlotte was a loving and selfless person. Her life lessons and example are her legacy that continue through her family. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.
Charlotte was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Ira Kirshnit. The two married on May 2, 1952 and together they shared many loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Laurence W. “Larry” Kinnard and his spouse Karen of Westborough and Carol E. Kirshnit and her spouse Paul Siegel of Davis, California. Charlotte was the loving grandmother of Kevin Kinnard of Billerica, Joshua Siegel of New York City, Ryan Kinnard of Westborough, Eli Siegel of Sacramento and Adam Siegel of New York City.
Charlotte’s funeral services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlotte’s name may be sent to a charity of your choice.
