Charlotte A. (Mattie) Fraser, of Weymouth, died peacefully at home on July 26, 2024 surrounded by her children. She was 88.
Charlotte was a generous soul, often donating her time to make the world a kinder place. Charlotte volunteered with Swim with a Special Child, was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader, and donated 16 ½ gallons of Blood to the Red Cross! Charlotte was always on the move, riding her bike, delivering newspapers, competing in Senior Olympics and traveling the world. She never found an adventure she’d turn down.
Beloved wife of the late James Fraser. Loving mother of Paula Vincent and her husband, Wesley, of Eastford, CT, Sheila Fraser of Weymouth, Glen Fraser of Caseyville, Illinois, Brenda Fraser of Billerica, and Jim Fraser and his wife, Pam of Dunstable.
Sister of the late Mary Nolan, Francis Mattie, Hubie Mattie, Barney Mattie, Patricia Kennedy, Roberta Mattie, and John Mattie.
Grandmother of Jessica and her husband John, Toni, Cathy, Robert, Sean and his wife Kristin, Jackson, and Cameron. Great Grandmother of Elliott.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Pat Mattie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, July 30th from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, July 31st prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlotte may be made to the American Red Cross (redcrossblood.org).
