Powers, Charlotte “Anne” of Hingham, March 6, 2007. Beloved daughter of the late John J. Powers and Charlotte K. (Karrer). Loving sister of Helen Mansfield of Weymouth, Carol Morris of Hingham, Roberta McGrath of Hingham and the late Mary Sommerfeldt, Joan Powers, John J. Powers, Jr., Robert Powers, Richard Powers and Catherine Duffus. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Charlotte was called “Anne” by all her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Anne liked to crochet, complete crossword puzzles and read. She especially loved flowers, both arranging them and working with dried flowers. Miss Powers also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds near her home. She enjoyed both classical and Irish music. Her family describes her as very charitable, generous and possessing a wonderful sense of humor. Anne worked for many years as a printer at the former Lincoln Stores and South Shore Bank, both of Quincy. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1937. Donations in memory of Ms. Powers may be made to St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 565, Hull, MA 02045.
