Charlie “Chaz” Nyen

Charles E. Nyen, of West Roxbury, died March 21, 2015 after a long illness. He was 63. Charles, affectionately known as Charlie or Chaz, grew up in West Roxbury and graduated from Boston Tech. He worked for California Paints in Cambridge for over 20 years, only retiring when he became ill. He enjoyed fishing, playing softball and traveling all over the country. Charlie was known for his detailed and elaborate Halloween parties that friends and family looked forward to all year. He was a kind and generous man that helped people in any way that he could. 

Cherished son of the late Gerald and Alice Nyen. Loving brother of Dorothy Nyen-Cassidy and her husband John of Hull.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM.

Burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Charlie may be made to South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370 or South Shore Elder Services, Meals on Wheels Program, 1515 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
