Charles R. “Charlie” Horner

Mr. Charles R. “Charlie” Horner of Weymouth, died at home February 19, 2015.

Born in Stamford, CT, and a proud graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 1952. Served in the US Air Force 1953-1957. Charlie enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing, and was an exceptional woodcarver. He was very proud of his restoration of a 1931 Model A Roadster Pickup. He cherished the times he spent with his family, grandchildren and countless friends.

Husband of Joan M. (Madden) Horner. Father of Ann Marie Horner and her husband, Ian Riley, of Quincy, Mary Beth Powers and her husband, David, of Weymouth, Charles Horner and his wife, Heather, of Mansfield, Ellen Welch of New York, Carol Horner of South Carolina, and Denise Horner of Florida. Brother of Carol Kolb and her husband, Clif,of Long Island, New York and the late Daniel Horner. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main St.

Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
