Bickford, Charles R. of Weymouth formerly of Readville, died March 13, 2014.

Beloved husband for 50 years of the late Mary J. (McNeil) Bickford.  Loving father of James Bickford and his wife Maureen of Weymouth, Robert Bickford and his wife Pam of Foxboro, Thomas Bickford and his wife Wendy of Hanover and the late John Bickford. Loving father-in-law of Elizabeth Bickford of Wrentham.  Dear brother of Mildred Quigley, Donald Bickford, Marion Lavey, Paul Bickford, Catherine Raftery and the late Howard Bickford, Helen Kinnally, Shirley Camillo, Leonard Bickford and Joseph Bickford.  Cherished grandfather of Christopher, James, Candace, Jennifer, Meredith, Matthew, Kevin, Tommy Jr., Michael, Stephanie, Kara and Caroline. Loving “GG” of Elise.   Dear brother-in-law of Rev. John R. McNeil. 

A graduate of Bentley College, Charles was the proud owner of Westminster Dodge in Dorchester for over 30 years. He was a devout Catholic and loyal parishioner of both St. Anne’s Church in Readville and St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth.  Charles was a former MSADA President, a former member of Wampatuck Golf Club and a supporter of St. Vincent De Paul Society.  He was a true fan of all Boston sports who loved spending time with his family and friends. He proudly served his country in the US Army.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
