Charles N. “Chuck” Jones

Mr. Charles N. (Chuck) Jones. of N. Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at home after a long brave battle with cancer. He was 63 years of age.

Chuck grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and later moved to North Weymouth. He proudly served in the United States Navy. After 33 years with the U.S. Postal Service, Chuck retired in 2021.

Chuck had a charismatic personality and was loved by many friends and family. He was the life of the party, especially when he broke out in song, changing the song words to suit him or making his favorite sound, “the fog horn.” 

Chuck loved spending time on his porch with family and friends, looking out to the water watching his boat, the “IDA II.”  He also loved golfing, fishing, and vegetable gardening. He loved attending Red Sox games and watching all sports.  His passion was being on his boats with his wife, Laura, and their dog, Buddy Jones.

Beloved husband of 33 years of Laura (Thibodeau) Jones. Son of the late Newton and Barbara Jones. Beloved son-in-law of the late Rosemary and Lawrence Thibodeau and beloved brother-in-law of the late Suzanne (Thibodeau) Kent and Brian Thibodeau. Brother of Nancy, Debbie, and Dee Dee Jones. 

Chuck will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family on Monday, June 13, during the visiting hours of 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Homes, 40 Sea Street, North Weymouth (off route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Jerome Church, North Weymouth, at 10:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 101 Columbian Street, Weymouth Massachusetts, 02190, or to Cystic Fibrosis at cff.org.
