O’Brien, Charles J. of Quincy, August 4, 2004. The Beloved Husband of 54 years to Dorothy M. (Schneider) O’Brien. Loving Father of Paul E. O’Brien and his wife Margaret of Whitman and Karen M. Donahue and her husband John of Kingston. Devoted Grampy of Kevin M. O’Brien of Whitman and Maura E. Donahue of Kingston. Brother of Mary Josephine Millett of Watertown and the late Francis & John O’Brien, Thomas Holmes, Mary Fitzpatrick, Elizabeth Varnum and Sr. M. Florice, CSJ. . Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 9 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Charles is a W.W.II Army Veteran and a retired South Postal Mail Carrier. Charles was born in Boston and educated in Boston , he entered the United States Army and served in W.W.II. Charles worked for the South Postal Annex as a mail carrier. He retired from the post office in 1985 after 30 years of service. Mr. O’Brien was a corporal in the 542nd Anti Aircraft Artillary. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees – chapter 430, he was currently public relations officer and Past President of this organization. Charles was active in Quincy Senior Olympics as well as a member of the Beechwood on the Bay Club. Charles had several interests including senior bowling golfing and fishing.
