Charles J. Finlayson

Finlayson, Charles J. “Charlie” of Scituate, formerly of Norwell, Charlestown, and Lloyd Harbor, NY, passed away September 6, 2017.

Charlie grew up in Weymouth and attended Weymouth High School. He was a graduate of Bowdoin College and Boston University School of Law. Mr. Finlayson was the General Counsel at Loomis, Sayles & Company. Charlie loved football and looked forward to his annual Superbowl trip with his closest friend, Bill Widmer. All who knew and loved him will miss his generous spirit, wry humor, and quiet strength.

Beloved husband of Jane (Beal) Finlayson of Scituate; devoted father of Stefanie of Charlestown, Cheryl and her husband Carmine of Mount Vernon, NY, Ian of Somerville and James of Portland, OR; dear brother of David Finlayson of Bridgewater, Paula Jhung of CA, Steve Finlayson of HI, George (deceased), and Larry (deceased). He was the son of the late William G. Finlayson and Catherine (Doody) Finlayson. His entire family is grateful for the loving care he received at Cardigan Nursing Home.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
