Murphy, Charles H. “Charlie”  of Rockland, formerly of Milton,  died after a brief illness on January 21, 2015. The beloved husband of 39 years to Jean M. (Feeley) Murphy. Devoted father of Kate A. Johnston and her husband Bruce of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Ryan Johnston of Weymouth.

Charlie was a graduate of Wentworth Institute and attended Northeastern University. He worked for Verizon as an engineer for more than 30 years.  His top priority in life was his family, he cherished them and the adored him. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and cherished grandfather. Charlie will be sadly missed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:45 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton at 12:30 PM.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlie may be made to a charity of your choice.
