O’Neill, Charles F. of Quincy formerly of South Boston, December 4, 2004. Beloved brother of Herbert “Joe” O’Neil of Quincy, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Buckley of South Boston and Mildred Hogan of Quincy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Charles was a member of the George F. Bryant VFW Post #613 in Quincy and the American Legion Post #95 in Quincy. He was a member of the Navy League of the United States, The Castle Island Association (C.I.A), and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2259 in North Quincy. Charles was a resident of the Fenno House in Quincy. He loved to dance and was an avid Naval historian. Donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy, MA 02171. Proud United States Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He won numerous medals for his service including the WWII Victory Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and the Good Conduct Medal.
