Hoffses, Jr. Charles Edward 76 of Yarmouthport formerly of Hingham. Beloved husband of Marion L. (Biddle) Hoffses of 48 years, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness. Charlie was a life-long resident of Hingham until 2000 when he relocated to Yarmouthport, MA. He was a loving and devoted father to his children, Janice M. Donnellan of Rockland, Cheryl A. Kenney of Pembroke, Brian S. Hoffses of Hanover, Stephen C. Hoffses of Hingham, Michael E. Hoffses of Bridgewater as well as 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Norma M. Cametti, brother John C. Hoffses and the late Lorraine C. Kelley and the late Roy J. Hoffses all of Hingham. Charlie was a proud veteran in the Korean war where he served in the United States Navy. He retired from Boston Edison after 35 years of service. Charlie had a love for baseball. He played in the minor leagues for the Milwaukee braves 1953-1956. His love and passion for baseball led him to coaching for Hingham’s Little League, Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball for many years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlie may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38105.
