Mr. Charles “Chuk” F. Lynn, of Weymouth, peacefully passed away, at the age of 60, in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 4, 2023.
Born in Quincy, the only son of the late Alfred F. and Cecelia Frances (Conway) Lynn, Chuk was beloved by all who knew him for his quick humor and sincerity and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He had a unique ability to quickly size someone up, and according to Chuk, create an endearing individual code or nickname. Friends and family frequently felt that Chuk had missed his calling to be a comedian.
Chuk graduated from Weymouth North High school class of 1981. He played in the Weymouth Youth Hockey league for many years as a teenager. In addition, Chuk was a Ham radio operator and was quite mechanically inclined. Chuk was a Truck Driver in the Boston area and could often be found tinkering in his garage with his cars and motorcycles. Chuk loved the Boston Bruins and Celtics, almost as much as he loved Progressive Rock, Traditional Irish, and Classical music.
Beloved husband of nearly 25 years to Suzanne M. Gill-Lynn of Weymouth, who from the beginning, shared a life of laughter.
Loving father of his only and favorite son Kristofer Lynn, and his wife and favorite daughter-in-law, Catherine, of Boston.
Brother of two older sisters, Terry Lynn Colligan and her husband, John, of Manomet, and Margaret Colligan and her husband, Martin, of E. Bridgewater.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 101 Columbian Street, Weymouth, MA 02190.
