Hennessey, Charles “Chuck” of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, died March 18, 2011, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of 53 years to Dita (Mitrushi) Hennessey of Quincy. Loving father of Catherine Hennessey of Raynham and the late Cynthia Hennessey. Brother of Estelle Fondanova of Quincy, and the late Richard, James, William, Paul, Lillian Hutchinson, Ruth Fredricks and Marie Gombos. Grandfather of David Hennessey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Hennessey was a family man who enjoyed time at home. He was an avid walker and enjoyed the company of his neighbors during his daily walks. A sports fan, he especially supported the Boston professional teams. Mr. Hennessey was a Korean War Veteran with the U.S. Air Force and a 30 year employee of the U.S. Postal Service. Chuck was happy-go-lucky, friendly and had a good sense of humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Charles may be made to MA General Hospital, Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., Ste. 600, Boston, MA 02114.
